Bluetom
brought some pygmy swords and and tennellis (sp?). have added to tank, will post a pic when they take off a bit more. tennellis at te moment just looks like small bits of cut grass stuck between the stones
evilknieval69
I was just looking back through the pics on the first page and saw your overflow. You will be loosing any co2 you may have in your water from that, possibly the reason you have heaps of algae.... heaps of light + not much co2 + no ferts = ALGAE With having the overflow it will be very hard to keep your co2 levels up, putting the levels of the whole tank out, which ends in algae.... Dunno if that helps at all but it just flashed my mind
Bluetom
The turnover through the over flow is very low, and I've been using soda stream co2 for the past couple of weeks and that has improved the algae a bit. My clean up crew (bristlenoses) unforunitly like to reside in the over flow compartment, so that is really algae free
Bluetom
will give a quick update shortly for anyone that cares. green algae went, now have a little black beard but mostly under control. Have got a few snails now. wondering if my setup would take a few clown loaches. Are there any other good snail eaters apart from puffers?
