penguinleo
I am planning to upgrade my tank into a larger one. I am planning on getting a 480L custom made tank. If I have a 500 watt metal halide light for the 480L tank, would it be too much lighting? I will have a JBL CO2 system going with ground fert and liquid ferts. Also substrate heating. Thanks. evilknieval69
That would be sweet as in my opinion. Just make sure you keep the co2 bubble rate up!!
antwan
How long will the tank be? I have a 150W on a 3foot, and it's only just enough spread. A 480L tank would be something like a 4foot + I imagine, so you could possibly do 3x 150W's or 2x250W's hanging above instead of getting 500W solid light on the middle of the tank. It will look better and your plants will thank you for it too.
evilknieval69
oh yea i didnt think of that. i thought he/she sorta meant they will have 500W's worth of MH not a 500W MH. Yea i would go 2 x 250's or something
