puttputt
Checked the tank this morning and noticed a puddle under the refugium, checked every where and finally noticed a long crack in one side. disconnected, emptied and removed. Just lucky I've taken a few days leave, could have been alot worse. Don't think I'll replace it at this stage, house going on the market next month and it's just another thing to shift. Alot of life disappeared with it. Mind you, the sand smelt very bad when I removed it and the bottom of the rocks in it were black!!. Interesting to see it the cyno/diatoms/dinos (which ever one it maybe) disappear now.
Pies
Bad smelling sand is to be expected. As is the blackened rock where its been o2 starved. No problemo. good luck with the house sale and move. You tank is a stunner, I look foward to seeing what you do next time around.' skippy
Bummer You could bring your tank up here early and stick it in my store room Then you could get a new 'fuge (You'd have to contribute to the power bill though - its scary enough already)

Hows the tank, ready to try some acro frags??. Only trouble may be that big devils hand of yours, one of the most toxic softies and may mean problems keeping sps?? and thanks Fay for the offer, but as per our phone call, the sump will be ok - seperate from refugium - and that little something has been cut, and I'll mount it for you tomorrow
