Morpheous
I Had exactly the same problem as Nor_wester , My snake skin gourami got white spot, treated him, didn't really seem to be working so asked guy at the lfs he said to try adding tonic salt and crank the temprature up to 28C. My gourami started to come right, then two of my angels got what I thought was white spot (they are in the same tank as the gourami so I wasn't too worried cause I thought they would all be treated ) Now the angels fins and tails have gone all stringy. Is this tail rot ? All my other fish are fine. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks
Caper
Did you treat for the whitespot for a few days after the spots were no longer visible on the fish because it is recommended that you do so. I'm not sure about the fins, those with more experience will help you with that. But with that said, when I had a really bad outbreak of Ick awhile back, uh, I mean my fishies some of the neons tails were really a MESS, but those that survived, their fins are fine now. Morpheous
yeah they have all been treated twice now. Might do a water change and give them another dose of "wunder" whitespot cure and some more tonic salt and see how they go.
