  1. I have 5 juvenile discus, around 3-3.5 months of age living fine in my tank which has gravel in it. i think people have barebotton tanks just to have easier water changes
  2. Im sure the quality of NZ discusmans discus is very high BlueandKim, its just that i kinda went to the Pagoda to have at look at stock but kinda ended up buying the discus, im not comparing the two. The discus i have bought seem to be alright quality, all three are red turquoises and are only just getting their colouring. They cost 24.95 each. Thanks, Blitz
  3. Thanks for the help guys, BlueandKim no i didnt get my dicus from the NZ discus man i bought from the Goldfish Pagoda, nice prices. People in the area should check it out and see if they have any left. Thanks, Blitz
  4. A few days ago i bought 3 young red turquoise discus, that are only starting to get their colour. They are currently in my 900x450x450 tank which has glowlights, platies, guppies, corys, dwarf gourami, beta and BN. There dont seem to be any problems at the moment. Will these guys be okay in the long run? Thanks Blitz
  5. Hey Alan are Sue and Craig a member of this site?, if they arent how do you think i could get some advice on breeding these corys? Thanks, Joon
  6. I bought five of these fish from the LFS about a week ago. At the moment they are in my 180L community tank and all seem to be doing fine. I have noticed that there arent many of these fish at the shops. (correct me if im wrong) I have been thinking about trying to breed these guys. Does anyone have any experience with them? I was thinking of putting them into my 26L for breeding along with some guppys that are in there at the moment. Thanks Blitz
  7. I keep my Betta with 11 glowlights which seem to be fine. I also have guppies in the same tank but have been fin nipped by the betta.
  8. Hmm maybe your right but i found this site that says: "An expensive Powder Blue Couple" as a caption for a picture. Visit this site http://www.aquahobby.com/powder.html and see. Please correct me if im wrong.
  9. Thanks for the reply Fishbait. So just to clarify things, how do i know the eggs are in the nest? and when i put the nest into the breeding net do i use the piece of glass to just keep it together? Thanks Blitz
  10. Hey guys just a quick question. I have 4 guppys, 2 b/n, 4 corys and 2 dwarf blue gouramis in my aquarium. I noticed a thick foam kinda bubble nest thing (sorry bout describtion) floating in the back right hand corner of my aquarium. The nest ( ill call it this for now ) has what appears to be a few roots from my plants stuck in them. As i said in an earlier post i am not sure of the sex of my gourami. Can somebody please tell me what this is? I am dying to know lol. Thanks P.S Sorry if this post is in the wrong category, wasnt sure of what to put it under Blitz
  11. Hi Dawn. Yea im pretty sure that my gouramis are Dwarf Cobalt Blue Gouramies. Im not sure of their sex but i can tell you that i bought them from Jansens, Botany. There were about 4 of them in the tank when i bought them. Hope this helps Joon
  12. Yea i think they were just taking a while to settle into the tank, they are fine now
  13. I have just bought a pair of Cobalt dragon gouramis (i think thats the name) I just wanted to know if its normal behavior for these fish to lie on their sides on the gravel. I put my hand near one and it swam away and seems to be fine now. All help will be appretiated Thanks Blitz
  14. hi, This morning i noticed that one of my female guppies looked a great deal slimmer. Even last night she wasnt that slim, could she of dropped fry? I also noticed that she isnt very active and sometimes her tails hangs at a 45 degree angle. If she has dropped fry what would i have to do? All replies will be very much appreciated Blitz
  15. At the moment i have: x2 b/n x4 guppys (1male)
