Ah sorry, posted to the wrong forum in my haste. Theyre actually freshwater fishies. So bags and a chilly bin is really all i need. thats easy enough. As far as the tank goes, we'll save as much water as we can into the bags, and take it in the car with the fishies. Then put them back in when we get there i spose. We wont be able to do it prior to moving the fish. thanks for the help!

Hi folks, am looking for advice in moving our fish tank from christchurch to wellington. Obviously its a long journey. If i bagged them and put them in a chilly bin or something with a heat source, how long could they last with the air in the bags? Would it be possible to keep them all in the tank and transport that way if i can stop the water spilling? Theres probably around 20 fish, in a 60L tank. any ideas appreciated thanks
