I agree with Zev. I take them apart and put them back together - quick and simple :slfg:

I got 11

We felt it here quite strongly. Makes you realise what a closer and shallower one could do.
I'm still wobbling - but in my case its fright, not age :rotf:

That is weird Jude although I understand the concept behind it :-?
What is the problem Hdoubleu? Gives the cat something to look at. Lid protects the inhabitants. Our cat used to lie on the glass lid and watch the fish swim by. Kept her amused for hours and the fish seemed to enjoy it too.
Not sure I'd want to try it on my cats - those clips could hurt.

How to deactivate a cat

Great news. Sounds like you can now enjoy your fish again

WCMMs seem to thrive in warm or cold water so they should be fine. I'm sure you will get on top of the water problems soon and be able to relax and enjoy your fish

This thread is in "Coldwater". Is it a cold water tank? I thought guppies might survive in coldwater if the room temperature was warm enough but that they preferred warm water. Would bristlenoses be ok in coldwater?

eeeek! a sneaky peek!

I went to work. Tried to come home. Had hold-ups on the hill because of large numbers of AOS and cops all over it. Came home, sat on the back deck with coffee and watched the chopper circling round as it searched for someone. Had to hold my tongue when the cop holding the big gun waved me through. I wanted to say "That's a big one!" but he looked like he'd left his sense of humour at home

I had my sunnies on and a fake moustache

I got waved through a traffic hold-up by a cop with a big gun! That was different.

pointy

It used to happen in one of my tanks too and I never worked out what it was. It never seemed to hurt anything so I stopped worrying about it
-
 I never thought of that - but the white could be changed to black

Why not print them on blue card?

I had success with conditioner. Smother her head in it and wrap gladwrap around it for twenty minutes - it smothers the lice. I did need to keep doing it every day until all the nits had hatched because it did not kill the eggs.

She's a tortoise shell, that explains it. They are spikey, affectionate and very intelligent. I love them.

I have always had rocks in my tanks. One tank had a double layer of glass at the bottom but the other large tank only had one layer of glass. I used polystyrene under the tank and another sheet of polystyrene in the tank. The one inside the tank was cut slightly smaller so that it didn't show at the front and sides once the gravel was added.

I know a pathetic warelert. She's also a way with the fairies most of the time

I can vouch for Caryl and Grant's wonderful hospitality. I've stayed with them twice now and been taken all round the area. Both stays were wonderful (even with the old bathroom  )

campanula is nice. Its low growing with purple flowers, it will spill over the edges of the tyres and it stays green in winter. It doesn't get out of control like some ground covers do.
as someone else said, violas and pansies will self seed and pop up all over the place giving bright splashes of colour.
coreopsis is lovely. Its tall and bright yellow. The double varieties are especially nice and it likes hot and dry conditions.
DON'T plant forget me nots unless you want to spend the rest of your life weeding them out
Spring bulbs would be nice but its too late to plant them now - maybe leave some space for planting them in autumn.

I hadn't realised you were as old as that. Gosh, you are getting grown up
A BIG thank you for the work to fix the forum
