Digital thermometers are pretty easy to calibrate.
Half full a cup with crushed ice and add enough water to cover the ice. Let the ice partially dissolve. Submerse the probe into mixture.
This should read as zero the variance should be added/subtracted from the reading you get in your tank

I've been watching The Tomorrow People as it airs in the States. I think it's pretty cool.
I was looking at tomorrow people but started watching almost human because of the kiwi connection
What does everyone use to watch these shows glow gaze or the butler?

And if you like trailer park boys give swift and shift and housos a watch

Looks good mate, keep an eye on the auratus. 2 is not enough as they are super aggro and not really recommended for a tank that size. Nice work for a 1st set up.
thanks for the info and compliment. when i went into hff i had a few fish in mind they didnt have all that i was after and these caught my eye and i was silly enough to impulse buy might look at doing a swap with someone as im looking to add some red to the tank for contrast
-
Did a swap with a mate so now have
6 labs
8 smaller zebs
1 m electric blue
2 arturus
1 Dempsey
1 lionhead
1 dolphin
Much more peaceful now :dnc1:

Looks good, but I think you maybe in for some aggression/territory issues in a tank that size. The C. Moorii will probably get too big for the tank in time.
So who needs to go or do I reduce the number of zebs? If so how many?
Cheers
<-- this guys still learning and Google gives so many contradicting answers

I have the 980 and the noise is minimal as long as it's keep relatively full the main noise issue is from water flowing back into tank

This is my first attempt at an a/cichlid tank so feed back will be appreciated.
It is a sunsun 200 ltr in built filter runs 900 l/h as well as a aquis 1000 running 700 l/h
Stock
4 yellow labs
1lionhead
4 juv blue zebs
12 mature blue zebs
2 auratus
1 dolphin
So yeah keen to know what you people think
Seems peaceful now after a rescape
