Sweet thanks, was just worried cause its a bit of an odd thing for him to start doing.

I don't think so, haven't seen any.Do you think it will harm him by eating it?

His teeth are all good, has plenty of stuff to chew to keep them down. He is eating the sand has a huge belly full then poos it back out.

Hi I have owned a salt water puffer fish for 6 years now and have never had any problems with him but in the past 2 days he has decided to start eating the sand in his tank.Just wondering if anyone had any ideas why he would start doing this?
