Hi having lost any fish lately but a couple of fry. My platy still flashing maybe twice a week but some of the fry are starting too. Not very often but enough for me to notice. Can I treat for flukes if I don't know is really the problem and if so what is the best treatment. No marks or damage to skin or gills and no sign of ich or velvet. Water parameters are all good. Thanks

PH was low due to overfeeding when fry arrived. Have cut this down. Did water changes to bring up over 3 to 4 days and use prime and stability when add new water. Can't see any white spots or marks on fish. Checked water again and still 0,0 and 10 with pH 7. She is hiding today so think she maybe ready to birth soon. What are the the signs of flukes? Is there anything else I can do to improve water? Do 10% twice weekly and gravel clean once a week. Sorry to ask so many silly questions am new to fish.

Just noticed a danio now flashing too. Tank temp between 25.5 and 26.5.

Hi Have noticed that my pregnant platy has started flashing and have just noticed some if my 3 week molly fry have started too. I can not see any thing wrong with the fish. No spots or anything. My water levels are good 0,0 and 10. PH was low but have brought up with shells now sitting at about 7. 215l tank. Any suddestions. Don't want to medicate with some advise.

My two platys nearly 4 weeks ago, prior to that a week before 2 female balloon mollies, one of which has passed. My albino bn lost colour, danio was swimming oddly and my balloon molly who had had the babies was sitting behind the filter bar. No marks or visible signs on any of them. Do think I was over feeding to compensate for the fry. Have cut feeding down and good gravel clean which possibly was my bn issue. May of stirred up bad bacteria? As had not gravel cleaned for two weeks (worried about sticking up fry) only water changes.

4 months now. Cycled for a month before fish

AR 980 215l with drip filter. Also running a canister filter. 2 air stones. Tank is planted, mixture of different plants and a large piece of driftwood. Have 4 scissortails, 3 balloon mollies, 5 bloodfin terta, 2 platys, 3 danio and about 15 molly fry. Water parameters are ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 10. Tank temperature between 25.5 and 26.5. 10% water changes weekly, use prime and stability.

Went to LFS store today and got some crushed oyster shells. Was told to put in half the bag so 250gr and would bring my level up slowly over a few days. Put into my drip filter. Was sitting at about 6.5. Just checked and up to about 6.8 already, have I put in to much. Concerned raising to quickly as not having much luck, lost 3 fish in last 2 weeks. Please help

Hi Have just lost a bn pleco, balloon molly and now a bloodfin terta. Tested my water levels and my ammonia is 0, nitrite 0, nitrates just gone up to about 30 and my pH has dropped to 6.4. I am running de-nitrate and purgien and doing water changes for the nitrate. My pH was originally high so got some driftwood to bring down but seems too low now. Any suggestions how to bring up? Tap water is 7.6 Am at a loss, so upset about losing my fish

Just tested my water again and nitrates back up to 20 but did ph and was only 6.6. Would this have made any difference?

Temperature sits between 24.5 and 25.5. Just got new ehiem and still try to calibrate it. She is no longer even bobbing her head And a snail crawled on her. Just worried some wrong with the tank as lost the mother molly last week. Put down to stress as been constantly harassed by the males and other female, now not sure. No sign of and illness or infection on her either. Very dis-hearting losing fish, pleco is a favourite. Have 5 bloodfins, 4 scissor tails, 2 platys, 3 danio and now 3 adult mollies and about 15 babies. My tank is 215l so I don't think overstocked?

Water tests all good 0,0 and 10. My nitrate was high up to about 30 last week so am now running seachem de-nitrate thru my drip filter and purgien thru my canister one. Has brought my levels down. Feed her cucumber and alage wafers. I did do a gravel vaccum with my water change over the weekend but she was already sluggish. Not sure about what type, I know he only gets to a bout 10cm. Any suggestions would be most helpful. She is between some mircosword and the driftwood at the moment, not moving at all for last 3 hours. Have also noticed her red eyes are kinda glassy and not as bright
