Sorry what do people mean by reverse to display?
-
I recognize this tank! Hi Dave
-
With sand do you have to check for pH neutrality ie vinegar test or is that only for rocks? In Christchurch Urban Landscaping Supplies sell a few different sands including a coarse black one which is very popular but as mentioned above, does need a LOT of washing.
Also I lol'd at the sand in Urethra stream

Is anyone here an admin on Reefkeepers who can help me get set up over there please? LA has set up an account for me but obviously set the emailaddress to his instead of mine because I can't reset my password or login or anything >.<
Desperate to see all the beautiful reef tanks!!!

Oooh the copperband looks lovely! My cat does that too, she's only just figured out that the fish exist...she's not the brightest cat.
-
Wow thats a huge tank for your first marine, I'm so jealous! But then we could never afford to keep up with all the salt so I shall stay happy with my little RSM!
This part is soooo frustrating but the really fun bit starts soon!

Welcome
Hi!!
Welcome! Thats quite a collection you have!Thank you *takes a bow*
The 4 dwarf puffers get along alright together?Yep totally fine. The ratio is 1:1 unfortunately, I wanted 1 male, 3 females but one of the girls turned out to be a juvie male! But hes one of my favourites so I can't quite bring myself to get rid of him especially when they get along fine!

Hi all,
I joined last weekend but thought I should introduce myself and took a while to get round to gathering the pics I wanted to show off
I'm Rachel, been keeping fish since late last year and the obsession is very strong! My husband and I have been gathering tanks like there's no tomorrow but I know you can relate
My tanks are listed in my sig (don't worry I will reduce it soon )
At the moment I'm really enjoying my cichlids and our marine tank has just received its first frag. I also really love my plants.
Long term dreams include owning a mantis shrimp (!) and creating a locals coldie marine tank :f77: I'd also really like a frog fish
I like fish that are quite aggressive it seems which is why we end up with so many tanks. I had a community tank of guppies and neons but I got bored! :sml1:
So hi!
Pics:
My 70L planted tank for cichlid growouts:
2 of my gorgeous wee puffs:
Steve our Green Terror:
Jake our JD (his partner is called Beth ;P )
My latest aquisition, a 6 month old Frontosa whom I call Gregor, the Mountain Who Swims:
My puff tank after rearranging plants yesterday:
This was my Green Spotted Puffer tank but sadly he didn't survive:

I would get a saltwater tank just to house one of these if I could :nilly:
Me too! Nic at Living Reef here in Chch told me he had one once so jealous!
-

ever thought of moving up here, less shakey, less wet and less frozen.....
Haha no thanks, why move where the next big one is due? ;P
I did briefly consider it for the marine life though!
