  1. I had him in freshwater for about 2 weeks and then he got whitespot which was a pain because it is very hard to treat puffers so instead I decided to slowly over 2 weeks bring his salinity up and have now had him at 1.010SG ever since and he absolutely thrives in it, has grown about half his original size again.

Mine absolutely loves freshwater shrimp he actively hunts them and normally devours 2-3 in about 10 minutes depending how smartly they hide.

I do think they do better in a brackish environment but also think they will live quite happily and healthy in a freshwater tank

  2. Na I don't need rescuing. Love mine too much for that.

But we all know what happens with animals, they get bought for kids and then the kid gets sick of them and the parents dont want to look after them.

Would be cool to maybe have something in place for such situations. Just wondering if one is already in place or not

(More than willing for it to be at my house haha)

  3. I have 3 of each the boes, yellows, blues and featherfins in a 200L at the moment and they are fine. Loving swimming with my bolivian rams and dwarf honey gourami.

Also my Zebra Spiney eel hasnt taken to any of them. But he is only there temporarily

    Hope that helps

  4. Hey David

    Good looking tank man.

If you are after those Pink Tail Chalceus go talk to your lfs and tell them to order you some from Aquarius importers. They have had them on their list for about a month and a half.

    Keep up with the pics

  5. Hey

So I do have Blue tounges at home so I do know what I should feed them. This is rather about a breeder I have just talked to who has sold a customer of mine a 2 week old Bluey and has told him to feed a combination of Cat Jelly Meat, cooked mince and frozen red meat. This is a apparent "serious breeder." Also she has only told them to have a ceramic heat lamp in the tank, not to worry about a bulb that has UVA and UVB in and over ruled me when I suggested it.

    What the heck?!
