From what I understand most nerite snails can live in fresh water but cannot breed in it.

Hi all, Does anyone here have nerite snails in their fresh water tank? Are they able to sell a few to me? I want them to help control algae. Have tried going down to the beach and catching a bunch of small snails (that I thought looked like nerites) but they died in my tank. I live in wellington. Cheers
