I have cleaned the filter but still not working, I have an air pump to keep water moving. Will do water changes, Thanks

My Bioflow has stopped working in my 60L tank, I can't seem to fix it so will have to buy another filter. It went off sometime yesterday morning I think, but we have no shops open till tomorrow, Monday, will my fish be ok, is there anything I need to do. What would be a good filter to get if I cannot get the same filter.

My Female molly has a drooping tail. She is not using it and is slowly facing upwards. She is eating but is slower than normal probably due to not using the tail. She is now getting picked on by a small guppy, I have just lost a sharpae tetra and my black molly is sulking. I have two mollies, a guppy, gourami, cory and now 3 tetras, in a 54 litre tank which I do water changes every week.

I have had my 54L tank for just over 2 months now. I have a black mollie and 4 red serpaes, one died yesterday with swimmers bladder I am guessing. My tank is well planted with live plants that grow very quickly, I have no idea what they are, but I cut the tops and replant. The black mollie had Ich which is all cleared up and one of the tetras is a quiet fish that sits at the bottom in front of the filter, he eats and swims occassionally. My tetras don't school much, but I heard if they don't school they are very relaxed. I would like to know should I be getting some catfish first to clean the bottom or what lovely colourful fish could I get next and how many. I am thinking maybe adding two more red serpaes as well.

My black mollie has healed extremely well and quickly. Salt works likes magic. I have a happy fish now.

Finally 4th light is working, yes there was a fault with the switches, all working now.

Hi all I have had my new fish in the new tank for 4 weeks now and my black mollie has whitespot, had him for 2 weeks. I have 5 tetras also, they seem fine. My tank is a 60L and I have just added salt 1tsp to every 4L, upped the temperature. Will do a water change tonight as well. I just want to know how often do I do this, every day, every second day etc.

I have only had my tank for two weeks now and been through two lights. The first one I thought I did it somehow, took it back to pet shop and no questions replaced it, now in less than 3 days the new one has gone too, a little embarrassed to take it back in case it is me doing something wrong. Has anyone else had problems with Juwel lights.

Im pretty new to this and the only stores I know of are Pet Zone in Ashburton and Redwood Aquatics in Christchurch.

Thank you, I am going to get three more today as they are fighting quite badly between themselves anyway. I have some plants, no idea of name, that do make it to the top but I still think I need more. I will look up the names of the plants you mentioned. I have seen the fish only about 4 times sprint to the top and back down again, might take time.

Tank is cycled and was tested for everything before fish placed in, they have actually started eating but not from the top, I have to keep swirling the flakes to make them fall, so that they will eat. I have a feeling it is too bright and I need more plants.

Hi Everyone I have just purchased a 60L tank and placed 3 Red Serpea in it. :happy2: They have been in for 2 days and they are swimming on the bottom not feeding. They are also not very red, do they become red as they grow bigger. I am very new to this, I have waited a week to place the fish in. They have some plants but I will need to build up more, limited in Ashburton though. These fish are a birthday present for my three children, and we do plan on getting more fish but I read it is best to wait and see what happens with these. Any help for a newbie would be great.
