Hi I have just set up a new octagonal tank, it's now 4 days and has fish in it. They seem fine but I have noticed that the water at the top of the tank seems cloudy. Any ideas as to what may be causing this?
Hi There
I was wondering if these sorts of tanks are suitable for tropical fish?
Also how can I work out how many litres of water they hold?
I am looking at using it for a community tank, Gouramis, angels, rams, neons, rainbow shark and whatever else suits. Maybe a simese fighter or 2.
Hi, I'm new to looking after tropical fish. I had a blue (opaline) gourami, plecostomus, red tail shark & two blue rams in the tank. The opaline was already a nice looking fish but since I introduced a three spot gourami into the tank my opalines' colours have got alot more vivid and the opaline chases the three spot all over the tank. My question is: is this normal??
Thanks
I have only set this tank up 5 days ago, I'm guessing still to early to have a good enviroment for fish but I do have a plecosomus and a gourami in the tank at the moment. My problem seems to be when I test for PH it is quite blue I guess meaning up over 7.4 by the colour on the graph. I guess this isn't to helpful for the fish, any ideas to help appriciated..
thanks
hi all. This is my first attempt to keep tropical fish. I really love watching them, at the moment I only have a gourami (unsure what breed, I think honey something??) and a plecosomus. I have a small 26 ltr tank.
