Hi folks, what a great site! Thanks a lot. I havent owned a tropical fish tank for 45 years but now I'm just about to do so. The site has already enabled me to learn heaps about obscure things I have forgotten. As kid I used to work for a fish importer in Lower Hutt, on High Street. He had a double garage full of tanks and out the back were acres of ponds for breeding gold fish. Blackmoores as big as legal blue cod. We used to go out to Rongatai Airport and collect 4 gallon drums of fish from Singapore. On more than one occasion most of them were dead. It was my job to fish them out; I got an AGee jar full of harlequins one day! And the tadpoles of God Knows What species of frog. We had a special tank no one knew about that we used to raise them up.
