Madness. 2012 is gonna happen.

I'm looking for quality adult male and female sword tails, primarily females with black pigments and clear fins, no lyre tails, and males with strong red fins and pigments. Also koi females, and green/wild type females.
If any one in the north island can help out, knows of someone to contact, i am willing to pay for fish and for shipping to Taupo.

snot

this all sounds like alot of effort, maybe we will just hire a moving company to take tanks and if they break them they have to pay for it... worht the extra cost if a tank is broken.
-
she doesnt need it, she knows what shes doing.
-
no a double double headed one josh... yes a double double ray haha.
-
we know that... wait until you see a double double crowntail dragon hahaha
-
iv had this happen to a female german, no idea why it just happens, apparently it happens to quite a few german blue rams though.
-
we are shifting them.

missed my point. too much looks bad and too little does not seal properly hence the disaster. you are correct in saying "its the join between the glass surfaces that hold the strength" a perfect amount to stick glass together then a tiny extra bead for a proper seal. i have made a few breeding tanks and all held up great but as they were the first ones i made i added way to much silicon on the inside and being a small tank it look ugly ha ha, larger tanks would not look so bad i guess.
has anyone cut 12ml glass themselves??
i have only cut 3mm to 6mm pieces of glass all without any problems, but as the glass gets thicker it gets harder to snap and i can imagine 12mm glass will not be easy, easier to take to pros??

Has anyone seen these? has them?
-
idea was to have the dividers not actually bracing the tank though, and having perspex or similar in there aswell, but like you say probably just a disclaimer. its all about how you apply it to the tank, too much looks bad but will be strong and too little is going to end in disaster.

possibly add in about the female and her vert lines when keen?
-
if hes eating, and still looking happy i wudnt worry, like i said they shrink a little when they morph may just be this.
-
Teen egos. :dunno:
haha teen? i was 10 years ago.

Items Needed:
Small tank with a lid for spawning
Heater
Pair of Bettas. Make sure the female isn't too big for the male to wrap his body around
Bottle, cage, or another way of separating the female from the male but have them still in view
Suggested items:
Polystyrene cup, polystyrene sheet or Indian almond leaf
Moss and other plants that do not need substrate
Optional items that I don't use but others have and still do:
Betta extract or Indian almond leaf tea bags
Thermometer(doesn't actually help with breeding I just thought I'd add it in as other guides do)
Sponge filter
water? water conditioner?
also you state to use a female who is not to big so male can wrap around her, this is advisable as dragon males mother may freak out if anything happens to dragons pretty tail....

awesome, i have a delta with the exact same colouring and masked head.
-
didnt say that, just said crowntails arent. veil tails are always in shops because there cheap to import and sell to the beginner fish keeper for a huge profit. btw the plakat in ur avatar, is that yours or just off net?
-
yeh same, but how often do you see them in the lfs? never, only tm and breeders haha
-
halfmoons are my fav 2. i have 3 and heaps of females, if your looking for a different looking fighter crown tails are nice but like veiltails they are not that sort after.
-
when tadpoles morph into frogs the body does shrink, tail is absorbed and legs grow over time, ive had huge tadpoles which all almost halved in sized once morphed,
Looking for quality swordtails...
