it is a very big loss, i was bryans rep and i got to see the true passion he had for fish, he did have a great gift with breeding fish and i know alot of people saw that passion and gift that not everyone has, i just hope that everyone remembers that.
for his family and close friends it truely is a loss and i hope you do celebrate his life.
you will me miss mate i would have liked to have come to say goodby to you but i cant get down there, i will be thinking of your family as this is a very hard time for them,

how many are you putting in, jbl is a very good food but because its so good you dont need to feed as much because it has more goodness , just put one tab in , if you want to you can push it onto the glass and the fish will eat it off the glass

im kim haha but not th kim that breeds or has iguanas , i have had water dragons and breed turtles but thats it

you cant buy parts for the old fluval filters for love or money so i would say aqua one is the best

i used to eat fishfood,
and brayden eats dog food and loves cat food..... and most of he loves the new cat greenies!! he even fights off the cats.

how long are you leaving the food in?
food will go off so change it every day!!
i find jbl plecochips the best for for bn ,
i keep my babys in with mum and dad and they grow ok so make sure you feed them lots

start up a club go one its about time northland had one, if you need any help all of us will help you out as we all started from the ground up.

can i mix leopar ctenopoma and borneo tigers?
i had a breeeding pair or ctenopoma with my tiger and lung fish and they lived very well together.... ate well when they breed

killie stand was anazing!!! and to top it off they had a photo of alan on the stand.... it was very sad , but in other ways it was great to see that the killies had the most fish in the show,

judging is still going..... its been a long day for some of us, this time we have some great fish to judge and picking best in show will be down to the wire!!!
i would like to remind anyone that is thinking of complaining about anything that to pull off a show like this takes 1000's of man hours and is alot of nail bitting hard work and it is even harder when we doing have many judges in nz..... so if you are in any way thinking you might like to see what its like to learn how to judge i know kevin would love to hear from you!!!!!!!!!
if you haven't been to have a look at the show do get off your butt and go and have a look as there are some amazing fish and some great people to meet!!
was great to catch up with everyone!!

Well it was a great Funeral, and was great to meet up with everyone again and hear about Alans awesome (and hilarious!) life.

If there is a heaven I can hear you now giving the orders to anyone that will listen and even if they didn't you would make them as that is the kind of guy you are a real true kiwi who stands up for what he belive's in and that was something that a lot of people loved about you and a few didn't but you didn't care what anyone said as long as you had your family and your fish, the fish show is not going to be the same without you Alan to keep us all on our toes, I will miss you and I can tell you now you are in the hall of fame with all the other great fish breeders!!

any food will do that if you over feed, its a top food i sold it for 10 years and sold 1000's of tubs and also used it on my ponds , so cut back your feeding, remember its a better food than alot of the cheeper ones so you dont need to feed as much as you would have before

also the great thing about these filters is the parts are cheap , i have had these filters since they 1st came into nz and i just have a tap set on hand just in case, most of the time its the o ring or over doing the tap,

they arent hard but its hard keeping the babies alive and they only have very small numbers on babies and by small 2-15 .
the hard part is getting a pair or 3

the importers normally always only bring in the males as the females dont sell as well, but they do get a few females in from time to time.
they are a lovely fish!!!

fish lose eyes all the time in the wild and learn to live with it so dont just kill him because he only has one eye.....mind you bgk might hunt him down knowing that he is weak
