its nearly ready to be putting critters in.Ive got rock cycling and the tank was filled 6 or so weeks ago.Ive got the coral sand etc and am going to build a rack for the coral to be surpported on to allow better water flow.Purchased a marine dvd which is very helpful.Loads to learn!!

I recently purchased a red sea max 250 from a shop via t/m.Price was alot cheaper than i could purchase it locally so the deal was done.After getting it together the problems started and to the rescue came Micheal[owner]of Aqua Fever in Hastings.Ive had a few not too small issues with the tank[of which he didnt sell me]but has been absolutey fantastic in sorting out.He has been to our house many times and has given up time to resolve issues with a product he had no gain from. I would suggest to anyone that he has a great manner with customers and certainly helped me out of the pooh! Highly reccommended.

Hi there again.I thank you all for the help and advice but this doesnt help me rehouse my fish while i remove them and get their house sorted.I have had another one die today and i dont know what to do I have had it for quite a few years and to be honest we did lose a few a couple of years back.It has a bio filter filter and plenty of water movement.I have removed app 5000 litres of water over the weekend and replaced app 3000 from the tap.I had the water tested and Hastings water is fine.Still needing a solution.Thanks again

hi there.i have a large concrete fish pool in my back yard app 6000 litres.ive had it for quitea few yrs now but unbeknown to me the tosser block layer used lime in the cement.I did seal it at the time with a bio sealer but i think im still getting lime leaching into the water which is killing the fish.My question is does anyone in the HB area have room for about 150 of my family to come and stay for a couple of weeks while i sort this headache once anf for all.any suggestions most welcome.thank you

Hi there. Ive a large pond in my back lawn which has little protection from the sun apart from 4 lillies.I have a large comet I think he is on his side and only moves when I touch him.He comes back up to the surface in a few minutes and on his side again.Need to know if there is anything I can do to save him I have a hiose going in the pond now to try and get more oxygen into the water.I have put a cover over where he is to keep him from cooking. Any help most apprerciated.

Dont know anything about keeping the salt water critters.Purchashed tank after looking at one in a shop-lol. Would be good to hear any thoughts on assemembly if anyone has one.Im flying totally blind here. Great forum. Andrew

Hello again. I got mine from the Pet Centre In Wellington[Peter].A good bloke and he even deilvereed it to my transporter.And it flamming heavy!!. I was a bit worried about buying a complete set up as you are stuck with what ever components they use where if you purchase everything seperately you choose the quality so I hope it doesnt back fire on me.Quality looks good though.I had a Aqua 1 R1200 before that and lets just say I think they are lacking.Opinion only ofcourse.Putting the cabinet together now and already the cabinet assembly is giving me grief.Dont like the fixings that much.I hope the rest goes together ok and its rigid.Cabinet finish is good.Matt black
