Hi Simon, I am unsure if they held them as they are always hiding. Good sign maybe? I will have to get some more of them though at some stage. Don't tell hubby LOL I sooo want my fish to have babies!!! Do I have to take them out of tank if they are holding or have babies? Not really sure what to when it comes to breeding as I've never been that lucky yet :-? Ta

Can someone please tell me if the photos for this competition have to be from your own tank? And if not, do you have to know the breed of the fish in photo? Thanks Angela

Can anyone please suggest foods that help prep Cichlids for breeding? I have Yellows that I would like to breed, and also some Peacocks and Demasonis? Also would I be best to separate them to get them to breed? I am unsure what sex my demasonis are. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Can't breed them if I don't have a pair :roll: Thanks and I look forward to your replies Angela

Just wondering...... with the courgette is it cooked or raw? If raw it floats and seems quite hard for them to get into it. Thanks

Hi Guys, Thanks for all the cool comments To answer a few questions: Morcs - no the rocks are not siliconed together, but are sitting quite stable. I checked heaps before I put the fish in Navarre - Thanks for your offer!! I will definitely keep it in mind Si_sphinx - Hi Simon, thanks for your comments. I got substrate from Sthld Sand and Gravel. It just finishes off the tank I think. Your demasonis have definitely made themselves at home in the tank. They love it!! Thanks guys for the help. I think I have it figured out now :bounce: Yes I would like to get more demi's. I am just gathering some funds so that I can get some more, lol. Its the postage thats the killer!! Pity we don't have a pet shop down here with a variety of fish like other pet shops around New Zealand. We are unfortunate enough down here to have one pet shop and a garden centre that sells the odd fish. Thanks again Angela

Hi my name is Angela and I am a reasonably new fish keeper. I have a community tank with Angels, Black Widows, Dwarf Flag Cichlids, Kribensis and lots more. I am in the process of setting up a 1 metre long tank for electric yellows and Demasonis. I am on the hunt for more of both of these especially the Demasonis, so if you are able to help out, please make contact. Any suggestions etc, will be gratefully accepted.
