Not half as glad as she is I am sure!
Gonna remove her from the males for a lil while I think,
18 Babies so not to bad I guess.
-
10 LIL babies born Just moments ago
about 3 dead I think, Will give her another couple of hours then will remove her and see what babies are alive or dead.
So glad it's over. LOL
-
Or she bursts :-?
Shhhhhhhhhh.... I am thinking in a positive manner here.
-
I will tell you when I get babies
-
Anything happen yet?
NOPE
-
Thinking of just letting her out of the breeding trap to see if that will give her the Shove she Needs.
-
Have you tried a gentle rub? If there is a stuck fry with the rest backed up, it may get messy :-?
Yes I have.
-
Has she dropped any more? Have you got her separated and in shallow water so she can rest?
Nope nothing.
Still alive tho so that's the main thing.
-
Look's like she will be meeting the loo
-
Well if one of your other fishes is an obstetrician and has access to a surgical theatre... :-?
Very funny. LOL
-
making savage shots...
Absinthe, i had a mate drink 80% of a bottle of 89% yeah i had to drive him to the hospital... but he is a savage drinker...
Now I know why I no longer drink
I ended up in A and E ,was enough to put me off and teach me not to do it again.
-
You might still do so I am sorry to say
Noooooo.
I think the fish world is Cruel at times.
-
Could have a stuck one with the rest backing up behind it. Apart from a gentle stroke (as they do when they strip cichlids) I can't suggest anything else. They can drop fry on and off over a few days.
Ok well I will see how she goes then
Thanks for that, Would hate to lose her.
-
Take to give birth.?
Unsure if something is wrong here
Last night she had 3
this morning she has had no more.????
She is Huge and seems to be stressed to the max.

Got the 120 LT tank set up.
Ended up buying a new filter and breeding trap.
Will put up a pic when I have time
-
Call is a xmas persent for yourself
Don't know if I can get away with it this year
I got a steam mop the other day and some other things
-
I almost always have a 2nd filter in my main tank, ready for emergencies and such.
Really.? I only have 3 filters.
And will be using them all by the end of next week.
MMMMM....... I feel a shopping spree coming on
-
You can never over filter. The only thing to watch is how much current there is and if that would be too much for your fish to swim against
Thanks will keep a eye on that,
Gonna go plug it in now and get it all set up
-
You can have more that one filter on the bigger tank. If you do have 2 filters on the bigger one all the time it makes it easier to get another tank because you just take one of the filters off and put in in the new tank when you set ut up and then you dont need to cycle it because the filter is already cycled
That might be the way to go then
Also I can't over filter the tank that I would be doing it to aye.?

Out of pure curiosity..
out of all the fish, which is your #1 favourite?
Personality, appearance , etc
Do you have any cool storys about ur #1?
:bounce: :bounce:
My favourite is my lil dude as I call him
He was the smallest Platy I got, So tiny and cute
He Use to hide all the time in the Java Moss and only come out when people went up to the tank.
He was just cute, He still is the smallest one out of the lot but man is he a randy lil guy now.
-
she was meaning that you stick the filter on the tank that you have set up at the moment :P
You mean the main tank.?
Na it's a smaller Filter so I don't think I can do that.
-
Put the filter on the cycled tank now while you think about your fish options. It will seed there while you think
I have to set the tank up with water first
-
Looking at getting Glass fish
Reading up on them now.
-
There maybe some bacteria left but probably best to just transfer some media from your existing cycled tanks and then stock up slowly you should be fine..
What you should go for next depends on your tank size/budget and what you like Cichlids are always good when you have only really tried live bearers, something like kribs will happily live and breed in a 2fter..
Biggest I have is 120LT
I am not going bigger then that :P
Don't even go there. LMAO
