  1. hi all sorry I didnt know that this thread existed so started a thread called aquaponics...until caryl informed me. I was at the doctors waiting room and reading an issue of nz gardening and had a good article on this concept Question - how do you gauge on what sized pump as in litres per minute ratio for aquaponics Has there been any new research on if any legally kept ediable fish that produces enough waste the photos like great and the discussions are so educational...thanks
  2. could I use a waterbed heating pad under a tank to heat the water for tropical fish just an idea I had and appreciate all suggestions and advice
  3. Is this normal..all our three goldfishes poo is soooooooo long as in approx 6 inches long. light green in colour. Just curious

  6. Did the petshop see me coming according to the cycle bottle reduces fish loss more nitrifiers keeps aquariums heathly rapidly matures new aquariums realeases massive amounts of beneficial bacteria into the tank.this helps prevent fish loss

Update: I went to the local pet store and they sold me A bottle of cycle Nutrafin aquaplus I have sieved the new stones - added tap water - added nutrafinplus at the recommended doseage - added the recommended dosage of cycle - now with the recommended repeating of this cycle every 7 days for two weeks - then adding fish in a months time but minimum of two weeks Has anyone had much experience with this product
  8. this is for my current set up tank of the size of 35 litre. Has three goldfish, two small snails and wanting to put a small bristlenose or two

  10. I have told in winter to have the heater between 18 to 22 - good for goldfish and good for bristlenose

  15. I have read or heard that you can have a bristlenose in a cold water tank with goldfish . Right now reading the new digital thermometer on the goldfish tank. now there is no heater in the tank , but the temperature ranges from 25.4 to 25.7 Is this temperature ok for a bristlenose / pleco?
