Thanks for all the comments. I will hopefully be getting a tank that comes with the filter, lights etc all included with the tank, so fingers crossed that the filtration will be suffice for that particular size tank? I have one Oscar, two Pleco's, two Angel's and One Blue Acara. It would be nice one day to have them all together but obviously Oscar is going to get too big. All my fish are babies at the moment so I'm doing some planning now (and money saving ) so that by the time they all get too big I will have my new tank and everyone can be rehomed accordingly.

Oh okay....up goes the saving price :lol: If he was in a 300L would I be able to put any other fish in with him or just him?

Hi all I am saving up to buy myself a nice big tank. I will have approx $800 to spend. I saw a nice tank in the lfs today and it was a 254 litre. What I am wondering is this....would this be big enough for one Oscar? Plenty big enough, or just enough room? I didn't get the tank measurements but it was a big deep one with a curved front :oops: :lol:

I really don't have the time to raise the eggs myself at the moment. I would just love to see the parents do it

Hey great idea about the mesh, thank you I will try that. And when you say 'good food', do you have any to recommend? My Angels are feed on normal to average tropical fish flake and occasional fish crumble brought from the lfs.

Hi all I have a lovely breeding pair of Angels that constantly eat every spawn. They have been doing this now for months. I took the eggs away once and raised them myself so I know that the parents are fertile and male/female :lol: Will they ever successfully raise their eggs to fry? Or should I give up hoping now because this has been going on for months? Thanks
