There are thousands of the little wigglers not far from where I live. In my wisdom i brought some home and put them in my fish pond. Little did i know that they'd eat my plants. I just watched the blade of one of my water plants wiggle like mad them float to the top....does anyone want some tadpoles?!!! LOL I might kust have to forfiet the plants and wait for frogs LOL

Don't tell my husband...he's still getting used to the first monster that landed in the living room :lol:

Nice tanks BTW.I was thinking the Kauaeranga too but the weather in that direction looks a little wet. There is a river towards your place that has the coolest petrified wood and agate rocks, that might be a mission for a normal weekend tho' :-)That'll probably be me falling in there too phoenix...hehehe!!

I've been drooling over the internet at the planted aquariums, so I'm starting with plants first then adding a few fish at a time. I think knowing me it'll need to be cheap and hardy to begin with, maybe guppies? (at first) Then......neons, angels, Rams, kribs, electric yellows, and those ones that are half purple and half orange, and i quite fancy a blue Siamese fighter and a jack dempsy (haha) Those are what I'd like but I'm pretty sure they're not all compatible in the same tank so the reality may be different.

Just getting all the gear together to start up a 180l tank. I've bought lots of bits and pieces of trade me and a heater and a bit of gravel from the pet shop today (We've blown the budget for another week again!!) I thought I might take the kids up to one of the rivers and they can sit there and pick out some little stones for me!!! Maybe some nice bits of driftwood who knows? Then boil them all in a big pot hehehe needs must aye !!
