most stones are fine, the rounded river rocks are good,a quick scrub and in they go.

jetskisteve is a good man to get in touch with to help you get things set up for saltwater.
he has some of the best prices around for equipment

40 tanks, nice
-
Neons, good varity and cheep
will except most types of fish, they mix well with others(not cichilds)
its up to you in the end, get what you like the look of. find out about the fish you like first, some don't get on that well together and some will out grow that tank of yours very fast.
search the internet and if you are not sure this is a good place to start asking questions
good luck on your choice

make money, never, break even, mabey, cost you, now you got it.
but it is a good way to meet other fish keepers when they come to buy
-
i think that everyone is going to tell you the same thing, external is better.
a fluval 4 internal would run 180lts with no problems, cost around $90.00
a jebeo as wok said, for the price are a great filter, cost $140.00
http://www.deepblueaquarium.co.nz/filter.htm
for the $50.00 you get 4 x more filter.
i have them both and they are great filters but IMHO i would go for the canister, its a lot less work as you only need to clean it out every 6 months and later on add a small internal and the canister can be left 12 months. the internal also adds to the current.
but as it goes with most of us, the budget will decide

it has nothing to do with you being an aussie as im also an aussie, born and bread on the coast, my family still live there.
all i ment is that you teased us with product then dont want to sell it to us.
these forums are for everyone to help each other with the HOBBY, witch we do very well at, but all i have read from you is that you are pushing your business and have not offered any help to anyone.there have been questions about lights that a person in your position would be able to answer with a great deal of knowledge.
sorry if anything i have said has upset you but when you help others you will get a lot of help in return

hi & welcome to the forums.
be careful in the marine section, very smart people in there but can be a bit touchy at times
looking forward to seeing your photos

re carbon sponge; go to your LFS and open a fluval 1,2,3,or 4 and have a look.you can also buy replacement ones.
the flow on my filters never slowes and they only get cleaned out twice a year.
once a month for the internals, have one on every tank
-
tanksman the black sponge is a carbon one.
most new filters come with one
-
thay first layed eggs in the first week but ate them, this is the second lot. i think thay have been watching the guppies
-
to mutch current is no good for some fish as it is like putting them on a 24hr a day run, they will get tired
-
yes
yes
no, can have to mutch current
-
saw a spider on tv last night do this to hunt under water
-
4 stage water filter
-
you are learning well, grasshopper
power heads can go in freshwater tanks to make more current.
they are just a pump that gives you a stream inside the tank
-
if the aluminum becomes problem you could try HPC coatings
