Excitement over: All gone. Not even a single solitary egg left. Am surely going to have to upgrade tank now....just in case they want to have another try. Need to keep eyes open for a nice looking 5' tank please

Have posted this in another topic (cichlids) but will post here too :lol: My Oscars (of which one is obviously female ) have laid eggs overnight. They share the tank with a coule of plecos. Are the eggs safe? What is the gestation period? Any tips/tricks/hints? Should I be excited or is this a common enough event that usually ends in no babies?

8) Noob from Hawkes Bay - Hi! I have a sm/med tropical tank with what were 2 juv. Oscars, and a couple of Plecos. Yep, the Oscars have grown and I am faced with the dilemma (sp?) of selling the fish, or upgrading the tank. The fish are GREAT! Just like having underwater puppies! :lol: The tank is OK....but hey...room for improvement right? Am looking forward to all the help and advice this site promises to give:
