i agree with you man, whats this got to do with chocolate?
It's got a lot to do with clever viral marketing. How many other ads are you talking about at the moment?

Shame about the rest... Michael Bay sucks for anything that doesn't involve explosions, IMHO of course
There's some trailers out for Transformers II, the bad guy is huge!

It cracked me up.
I thought it was a music video at first - for some reason it reminds me of the Windowlicker video by Aphex Twin!

I have two 300W Sera heaters in my 440 L, it's stable at 25.5.

I tried to establish MTS in my tank, but the dwarf chain loaches put paid to that...

I've never had Tiger Barbs touch any plants.

That won't help if your PC gets nicked, burned in a fire, or the hard drive gets bitter and twisted...
It'll stop Windoze grinding to a halt when you fill up C drive, though It's also good practice to have a separate partition for your swap file - stops it getting fragmented.

Yep, you've gotta have a backup. Best idea is a portable hard disk. Store it off site if you can. Then if your PC gets stolen, or your house burns down, you've still got all your data. Ditto for if your PC's hard drive bites the big one.

Ubuntu FTW!
Avast ha slightly better detection rates, and a slightly smaller footprint, too.
Someone at work thought they were getting burgled at 3 in the morning. Turns out they'd left the laptop plugged into the stereo after watching a movie on loud, and it was the annoying American voice that Avast uses to announce "Virus database has been updated"

Didya see my thread? viewtopic.php?f=3&t=38370
I'm still sorting out the shipping method with Wateranywhere, do you want to halve the shipping and order one, too?

I had one in the small, overstocked 80 l community tank that I inherited when I got started. It ruled the tank, but wasn't too bad.
When I transferred the community to my 450 L tank, it started nipping anything that came into it's side of the tank. I tried putting it back into the 80 for a bit, and then reintroducing it once the other fish were established, but it just got more and more aggro.
I donated it to the LFS in the end. Shame really, as they are beautiful fish.

yup i've seen the packs, and the dog control people teaching it at schools, didn't hear about it being axed though. When was it?
livingart- i can't be the only person who thinks those pleco spirulina tabs smell darn good, could eat them some days lol

that sucks, i see so many kids who have no idea how to act around dogs, even the ones with their own dogs at home don't know how to approach a strange dog. And of course when a kid runs up and unintentionally threatens a dog and gets bitten its always the dog who suffers for it. Should be part of basic safety teaching at schools, we pay enough dog registration every year to fund it.
It was. Labour released a kit that was sent to every school - it had a animated cartoon dog showing kids how to behave with dogs. National just axed the program to save $ 1 million  Seems like money well spent to me, if it prevents another kid getting her face ripped apart

Damn it, now I've got that song stuck in my head
One of the things that attracted me to this forum when I was starting out was the lack of purists.
Some of the U.S forums were waaaaay over the top. Things like "If you clean the outside of your tank" (and god forbid if you call it a tank instead of an aquarium) " with glass cleaner, the 12 molecules of ammonia that make it into the tank will kill all your fish"
Listen to Ira, what are you crazy?

After ringing around various water treatment companies, the imported unit I linked to above is still the best value I could find - even with the N.Z $ in the toilet at the moment. The closest comparable unit in N.Z was a couple of hundy more - some places wanted over $700
I've ordered one, so I'll report back regarding the quality, longevity of cartridges, water quality, etc.
Take that, evil brown algae! :bounce:

I guess it was a dumb question, considering people live off roof-collected tank water. But man, the gunk in my gutter looked nasty . Oh well, it's a moot point cos I'm going RO :bounce:

Hi
what i would like to know is how you get your pics so clear--what camera are you using or to be more precise what is the lens and are you using a ring flash or just a standard flash
I'm guessing it's just that we don't get to see the 371 blurry shots it took to get these clear ones The first shot is a point 'n click, you can see the reflection top centre...

Yeah, people aye...

Does anyone else watch Animal Rescue on TV One - it's on right now.
I have to change the channel as I find myself getting angry and despairing at people in general...
The sheep who had a rooster as a mate was a laugh though.

In other words, naff off and get your own thread jokes
Actually its something Id be interested in knowing. I believe using a small amount of shell grit will help buffer the water, correct me if Im wrong.
In a feeble attempt to un-hijack the thread (supasi scares me!), is rainwater collected off the roof of a suburban house OK for tropical aquarium use? I was cleaning the gutter the other day, and it got me wondering about micro flora and fauna.

Thread hijack alert!!! :bounce:
Could you please go into detail? I'm about to get an RO unit and was about to start scouring the web for just this info!

Wow, thanks for the link, Phoenix - that's an inspiring tank. |________|

Looks great in your lounge! Sand is basically silica, which is chemically inert. There might be shell fragments in it if you get if from a beach, but builders sand, etc. should be sweet.
