  1. My two green & gold bell frogs have different personalities. Although they are both out in view a lot of the time, I have never seen one of them physically eat. It must be eating coz it's getting bigger every time I see it. I'm guessing it's just naturally shy or something??!! The other frog leaps all over the place and smacks itself onto the glass panels chasing flys all the time. The other one obviously chooses to eat at night (although this type of frog isn't nocturnal). As long as there is plenty of food available (so the quite one doesn't miss out) I wouldn't be too concerned about it.
  2. :bounce: My friend, years ago when we were in form 3 (now called year 9) had an axolotyl. It was the first time i'd ever seen one. Hers had morphed, don't quite know how she did it and would assume it was accidental. She used to her axy in a square acrylic tank and had it set up a bit like a taddie/frog tank with water and a big rock sticking out. I guess it just learn't to climb up on the rock because it could!! Lived for flippin years too from memory.
  3. tank is an aquaone620, about 90L. When I said "bigger" I meant more of a "chunkier" wider, looking fish. The barb are littlies at the moment I do realise they can grow up to 7-10cm (depending on what book you read)!!
  4. I am new to topical fish keeping (had goldfish sucessfully for couple of years) and would like peoples views on tropical tank mates. I have 10 gold barbs at present and are planning on adding zebra danios, rasboras and corys (over time of course)!! I am wanting to have 2-3 bigger fish to add to the group, but conflicting advice leaves me terribly confused!! I have been looking at either dwarf gouramis, blue rams or kribensis, but the more I read, the more confused I get. Some books say ok - some books imply to not even go their!! I had a complete tank "wipe out" a couple of months back at my first tropical attempt, so am probably being over causious in regard to fish having a go at each other or anything potentially causing a problem with aggression etc. Any advice would be grately appreciated.
