Poret works really well highly recommended One section ready for the rams, will add wood java fern and maybe a Bristlenose Each section has water disturbing surface 4 sections, quite spacious when finished I will post more photos

    tank dividers

I think I will do a case study here, I am going for the more expensive option as I have 5 breeding ram pairs! I'll keep you posted. It makes sense to use foam, as it can be moved around no silicon. This and part 2 video is great: Saves buying a canister, will be more heat efficient, harbor lots of good bacteria, quieter I can buy two 50x 50cm for $40 each with this I can make 3 dividers. One section will be purely used to keep filter medium.

I know that poret is available and has great advantages, does anyone else know of anything cheaper. Is there any other foam options for a tropical tank. Thanks
  11. Parents and fry doing well:
  12. ok I will try BN's, the guy here in bromley, appears as pauljopnes on trademe, Rodney has them for $5 each I'll see if I can get a couple from him. Thanks
  13. BN's I think its too warm for them. I would clean the tanks myself but the GBR fry are so small and all over the place. It looks like snails. Thanks
  14. I need a fish that can handle temp of 28 not eat fry and clean the bottom of the tank (glass). Apple snails? thanks
  15. Dan, They seem to be feeding on microworms... here is an image: EDIT: maybe not I am sure I saw one eat through the magnifying glass.
