    Cloudy Water

Hi there. I have considered it but from descriptions I have had from people who were previously members it sounded like too serious a group for me. I just l;ike my tank to look pretty. Although they do have some great auctions by the sound of it.

Thanks for that. I will try it. I made the an assumption there and thats something I hadnt considered. Good one.

Magic Thanks for the help. I will try to increase the water changes and see how that goes.

Thanks. So what do you recomend to add into the tank instead of stress zyme. Or do you think the 30% water change will be enough? Cheers for the reply

    Cloudy Water

Hi everyone. I am reasonably new to tropical fish but I have managed to sustain a tank full for a couple of years. I would like some help please. I recently changed from a 60 to an octagonal 80 litre tank. During this process I used most of my old water and didnt wash anything. The only things new in my tank are a new sponge in the filter and a new undergravel filter but with the same gravel. I have been told I am over feeding but I give my 30 or so fish only 1 pinch in the morning of flakes. I have a sponge filter and an undergravel filter with 2 risers that are not quite long enough to make it to the surface and I have an ammonia filter on one and a carbon filter on the other. I gravel clean once a fortnight and do a 10% water change every fortnight as well. My water looks permanently cloudy and I think it might have something to do with my biological filtering. I use stress zyme reasonably regularly to help with that but it doesnt seem to be working. Any experts out there with any clues? Perhaps the fact that I recently had either black or glow light tetras(havent matured enough to tell yet) breed in my tank might give someone a clue as I am told they are quite hard to breed.
