  1. 1080 kills everything that breathes oxygen, it is still effective months after being dropped. It is NOT just used where accesss is difficult . It is on walking tracks, private property, and in our waterways. I have not seen anything on TV about it. I don't watch much TV. I have been in the bush. I read and listen to people that are out there, yes it has had a benificial short term effect in some places, but , to think that there is NO alternative to its indiscrimanate use is wrong. please, there is some mis-information and flawed "science" used by the very people who are profiting from this, and they are the ones charged with protecting OUR resourses. Apart from some "haka" bits in the film , there is some content that realy does make a good case for stopping the amount of this stuff we are using.

  2. Have you tried the publisher or the NZ distributer? The best TV motoring show" ..in...the.........................................................................................................................................................................................................................World."

  3. I have seen similar spiders in the bush at the Archery club up here. Also at Leigh . Always just thought of them as "wolf" or "huntsman" spiders....cool ones though. OK to handle, but they tend to run FAST up arms and into loose sleeves! Will get big enough to spread out over my whole palm.

  4. Smidgey, watch out with the fully suppressed centerfire rifles..they get HOT with repetitive shots. Hunting fine though. I have just picked up a BRNO 8mm, sporterised preWW2 Bolt gun. BIG bang , kicks hard and groups the size of a car tyre at 100m ,fun but!

  5. Thanks Firenzenz, I think the fish I have are not true S.decora , but hybrid. Planetcatfish shows a picture of them identical to these. Mine do not have a long filiment off the dorsal fin. Unfortunately there is scarce info on preferred pH , temp etc. But all that aside, they were a present from my wife, so they are kinda special and I would find it hard to part with them.
