Thanks P44, if you come up these ways let me know. Otherwise, if anyone up here wants them, $70 for both.
-
Sorry, meant nandus nandus, called leaf fish sometimes.
-
Other fish are Nundus nundus (leaf fish).Trying to rid of them so i can add cardinals or something like that.
-
There starting to get a bit bigger.
-
Sounds awesome, would love to see pics.

i think its quite weird that they all ways lay on the same night.
Don't know if it's correct but I read somewhere that a change in atmospheric pressure can bring on spawning. May be one reason.

One note on what p44 said. Diversion is outside of what the Courts handle. It is a police programme for 1st time offenders of minor charges.
DWC will often be imposed in similar situations where police have not offered diversion should the judge deem it appropriate.
-
My two cents.
I would recommend what others have said; get the hell out, especially if the people and their actions raise concerns about your safety or legal implications. This could ruin your life.
Diversion was set up for students and young people who commit a minor offences (drunk and disorderly etc) so it does not hinder future opportunities (law students are a prime example of why the programme begun, conviction equals no to practicing in law). Growing weed by the way is not a minor offence.
Police decide who get diversions and it is not guaranteed even for minor offences. I’ve seen guys get it for EBA, on their 1st offence while others do not. I know police are not overly sympathetic to those caught up in a house with weed growing and firearms in their possession, legal or not (firearms that is).
At the end of the day, it simply isn’t worth it, get out. This environment will only expose you to escalating (and maybe violent) crime especially when dabbling in this scene.

The white butterfly is a nice looking fish Flosty, real nice . Do you know what that pair throws yet or is this the first lot of fry? I'm not that up with discus genetics but what do you reckon you'll get? 1/2 Checkerboards, 1/2 White butterflies or a mixture of both?
-
Nice one Flosty, what are the Parents to the Fry?

Hi All.
Recently these two started showing signs of breeding, chasing around and the male wrapping itself round the female (and the female seems to have got very very fat). I assume they scatter eggs but really have no idea. Does anyone know about these or if they can be bred in captivity. Anyone keen to give it a crack? (prefer Tauranga).
Cheers

Nice pics, good camera huh?

Cheers for the responses. I feed the leaf fish, blood worms and beef heart with the occasional insect. They are super fat on the beef heart and eating mean (however, I actually have 3 but one is such a bad eater and looking kinny. Although he is hanging in there) Trying to get rid of them now, swaps for neons or cardinals, in trade n exchange.

Prazi in Tauranga?

Hi All, havn't been on here for ages, thought I'd better say hi.
Anyway, just brought a few discus babies to hang out with my leaf fish (nandus nandus). Tank has been pretty empty for quite a few months now.
Anyway, anyone know where I can get some Prazi to put in Beef Haert? thought I might dose them for the 1st time.
Chur.

 She.
I agree that they need a smaller tank while they're with their parents, but once you move them they need a big space to grow
My Bad

Discus need a pretty big grow out tank. For 38, you'd need a 3ft to start with.
Agree, he said "grow out tank".
-
If you can get good ones they look unbelievable.
Good examples:

Mark, that is mean. Have you got a chiller running with this tank, or you going to cross that bridge when summer rolls round?
