  1. Awesome thanks Markoshark. Temp is up to about 29C now and all the fishies seem happy. Won't be moving those Loaches again EVER! Never realised they were so suceptible to diseases but am going to try my best to get them to full health so that they can rule this tank forever haha! I'm thinking I definately will use QT's for other new fish going into this tank though, however won't be introducing any new fish for a while now... don't want those Loaches to start stressing again!
  2. Lesson of the day is Quarantine Tank I think! Will see if I can go and buy something this weekend. Good news though! Only one of the Loaches seem to have White Spot and after treating the tank and leaving the lights off as well as increasing the temperature all the fish seem happier which is great! Phew! Thanks for everyone's help, I really appreciate it!
  3. Sorry guys, that just didn't come off that well on either side I see. I might try to find a new Pet Shop to do business with anyway - as I seem to get only dud advice from the one I frequent now.
  4. Awesome thanks heaps - feeling a bit better about the whole thing now.
  5. Ummm isn't that what I said I was going to do in my last post? No need to get nasty! Will go get some White Spot cure from them INSTEAD of new fish.
  6. Thanks for all the help guys - rung them up and they said I could take them back and get new ones... However after some of your advice I'm thinking it would be a better idea to get the cure from them for free! I have increased the temp to 29C today - will do it to 30C tonight. Will that affect my Beta, Gourami, Congo Tetra or Bristlenose though? Only one way to learn right?
  7. I'll give them a call but I highly doubt it
  8. Problem is this shop has a policy - once the fish leave the store they are yours. I doubt they will take them back - plus I would really like to try to cure them if at all possible. You reckon just get some White Spot treatment? I will increase the temp also to around 30C - Just need to find out if that will affect my Gourami, Betta, Congo Tetra or Bristlenose before I do that... :-? If anyone has any idea please let me know - need to know that my other fish won't die if I increase the temperature to get rid of the pet shop's white spot!!!
  9. Hi guys... I bought a couple of Clown Loaches for my tank from a certain fish shop in Auckland. When I went back there yesterday to buy another fish I was told that the Clown Loach tank my Loaches came from now all have White Spot! When I got home I checked my Clowns closely, and surely it looks like they also have White Spot  A couple of questions - Will they infect my other fish? They seem to hide behind the filter most of the day. And secondly - please help me - what is the best way to get rid of it? Mine's quite a new tank and don't want this to be the way to start! Any help will be muchly appreciated.... Cheers, Melissa
