Definitely a Kuhli Loach. Shy little thing. Does not like light. Never seen one before and it was so quick in the tank. Thanks for all the help. Got a skunk loach too. It keeps peering out at me and keeping an eye on me if I move.

I have been given a fish that I cannot identify. Previous owner did not know either. Am going to try and take some photos tomorrow but will have to put it in a small container to do so. It looks like a serpentine loach and similar to the pangos. It is very elongated and thin, with a clear long fin on top. Mainly black /dark brown with narrow stripey gold markings. It also looks to be very segmented but this could possibly also be it's markings. Very shy. Wriggles like a snake or eel or worm. Any ideas.

From South Island to Invercargill. I am having problems getting what I want for my tank locally. Anything to go with young danios and whiptail cats.
