Thanks for your replys.The turtles in Rotorua are young but the fish would be about 12-15 cms long.I have managed to purchase some larger rocks and some gravel and am looking at maybe a log to put in his tank.He loves to flick the gravell around.I think if I did get fish for his tank I would like to have made and designed a few places they could escape to.Unfortunatly their doesnt seem to be any breeders close by so will have to come back to Rotorua and visit the pet .

Has anyone online from here got this combination.I am wanting to give Bertie a few freinds and the pet shop in Rotorua has a Plec in with the minature turtles? Just wanting some thoughts really.

Hi I am wanting to decorate my turtle tank its looking very bare.What can you suggest? Is gravell ok?

yes nick777 we do have water in the tank. We are in a split level house and unfortunatly their seems to be alot of ants in this house.I was worried more that they maybe eating the silicon in the tank.They seem to like the inside corners of the tank.I would be concerned about putting ant bait as wouldnt this Harm Berty our turtle if he was to digest it?.

what would they be eating , would it be the glue that holds it together.I am having to manualy wipe them out.Has anyone else had to deal with ants and if so what did you do to get rid of them.
