  1. Hi I've recently become quite obsessed by clown loaches and I reckon I have seen this clown before online, she looks just like a well known clown called Marge. Marge has been well photographed you can see more picutres of her @: http://www.loaches.com/species-index/cl ... cracanthus and even more photos, with her large school @: http://photobucket.com/mediadetail/?med ... geOffset=4 From all the reading I have done it kinda looks like all clown loaches lose the intensity of the black stripe. If kept in good conditions clowns will grow to a good old size, they can reach up to 30cm, and can live around 30 years. The pity is that most people don't know this and keep them in tiny tanks that stunt their growth, or with not enough of their own kind to keep them happy. If my clowns get that size I think I will be posting them all over the internet too... give me 10-15 years and we will see
  2. Have you checked out an industrial sand supplier? I have silica sand that I got at a really reasonable price. If you can find this kind of supplier then you can buy quality substrates at low cost, and in bulk.
  3. Here is a link to a really informative site about loaches, this link will give you more info on the likes & needs of the kuhlis. http://www.loaches.com/species-index/pangio-kuhlii Hope this helps.
