I have a durso standpipe in my overflow box and I added a piece of tubing down the pipe with the other end left above the overflow - to vent air. This stopped the level of water in the overflow going up and down. Not sure if this is your problem but it worked for me.

My first marine reef tank was a Rekord 110 but now I use it as my quarantine tank. It was too small and gets too hot. I have upgraded to a Juwel vision 450. They guy that imports them into NZ is in Chch and he set mine up with a sump but the overflow box is too small, I have put a durso standpipe in it to cut down the noise which is working well and I have the sump in one of the cupboards but it is a bit small, but I do love the Juwel tanks.

thanks for all the advice. I wouldn't be surprised if they are infertile as the eggs are yellow, not orange as everything I have read. Looks like a lot of work.

Hello Today I noticed that my pair of clownfish have layed eggs. Is there anywhere in Wellington that I can get some live food for the babies if they make it to hatching. thanks Jackie
