went out eeling set couple nets checked in morning and had caught a bullie was 14cm long but huge looked like an blue cod did'nt know got this big. Are they common to fid at this size?

next time im out there i will i find larger ones seem to more blue purple and smaller ones browns oranges have seen the green with the black diamonds down tail also

looking to get some sand for a native tank something diff does any one use the stuff and can you buy differnt colours etc after black-grey ?

got a pond on farm with some freshwater crays as big as 15cm, are the diff colours differnt types there mostly brown greens etc but few are purple and blue :bounce:

cant seem capture looks heap better in person i just left heater in there from demasoni yellow tank it is why have blue lights also not going but it is a hassle to take out as for tripple fins ive put em lil tank and going to realease them back dont want them to die

there last week end at onoke out buy ocean beach there a creek runs from lake we caught over 50 or so shrimp there worth a go

catch heaps at inlaws farm just down road from where you are saywells heaps lil ones 15-20cm up to eating size

they have 2 dorsal fins and a extra fin at back of head but fin triangular and sharp like an upside down triangle
snails cool got 40 of em trumpet type on tank
pic u posted exactlly same as fish we caught
and flounder we caught 20-30 coming up in whitebait net all brown black white spotted

so far in tank i have
x1 eel 15cm
x6 mixed bullies
x1 9cm inanga
x30 native snails
x2 tripple fin (seem to be handling freshwater algd)
all get along fine tank is 300ltr lots rock work wood etc got 2 blue lights
next thing i want do is try a make a tank for flounder have a long shallow tank and have been catching a heap of small ones 2-3cm range. Also stella heard you had a book about native fish where could one purchase said book please

can you buy nets etc sim to eel fyke catch bullies we have been using lil net with bucket etc i've heard you can get nets etc

went down river picked up load of rocks want to have a change in tank whats best way clean them normally just rinse and put in but should i soak em or tip boiling water on them. Just don't want no nastys getting how does every one prep them?

tank 300L currently have 2x pictus 12x angels 1xbristle nose
tank was a mbuna so still have 2x blue lights just wondered what plants would suit and is cheaper and can handle blue light

went eeling and found some moss growing that looks very similar to java moss tried to google an database but no luck plant was submerged

currentlly shut down my african tank and now have pictus and angels but dont want to buy new lights at the moment still have my ocean blue ones and wondering what will grow easy in this light and be suitable for angelfish >?

wanted to do tiger barbs hears few yes and no replys what are best tank mates for these guys have 300+ L tank and have a dozen mid sized ones at mo looking for something long term.
