  1. Why did you have to cover the tank?

We had to sand the floor before putting down tiles!

They have been this way for 4-5 days now and aren't really showing any signs of colouring back up!

It looks like we do when peeling- a mottled look!

  2. Had to cover my fish tank for a day (over 24hrs) -used a black cloth, so also no lights were used.

When I took the cover off all bar a couple of my dem's have "faded". Any reason for this? any any cure? :-?

They look very washed out and very pale blue not the viberant colour they used to be.

I have had the light on for a little longer each day (3days) and have fed a bit of the fighters food ( more colour inducing) but haven't had any results.

    Any ideas?

  3. Thanks so much guys you've put my mind at ease!!!

Am so glad he's that happy considering that I've only had him the 4 days!!!!

Not into breeding until I have enough knowledge and time to do it right!

Our camera is broken but will borrow one to show you how beautiful he is!!

  4. TTK I fully understand what you are going through having had to recently (3wks ago) put my boy (Bull Mastiff) down with lymphoma Cancer as well. We only had 8 weeks with him once diagonised so I envy your year with Katy. He was my 3rd child and I miss him so much every day, but he is in a better place where he has no pain and can be himself again!

It a comfort to know that here are so many people out there who love animals as much as we do and understand what we go through.

My heart felt thoughts are with you and yours at this time!!!

  5. Thanks Zev I have read and re read that but it doesn't explain "how" to do it!!

Suphew- Would a bubble ladder type thing work( there's one on TM)?

I'm really liking the sound of having the CO2 going straight into the input hose to dissolve that way.

Where does the needle valve go?

As far as i understand I have my co2 bottle with the regulator and possibly a solenoid, with tubing to the bubble counter and then into the input hose.

    Is this right???

  6. Am wondering how easy this would be.....

Hubby works in the welding industry so has plenty of acess to the bottles, valves, regulators and for refilling.

So after googling( my friend!!) and finding out that his site has the most info in NZ where would I start looking for the "instructions" to put one together?

    Any help appericated!!!!

  7. I was in the garden centre on Chapel St a few years back, but wasnt a keeper then,so dont know how good it was.I recall the Petshop on Wharf St(?)in the '80s,is it still there?

Neither of these are operating any more. We have Animal Antics and Animates as our large franchise ones and the pet shop in Papamoa that is privately owned. There is Waterworld in Rotorua.

Hope you get a chance to go and see Living Art's wonderful slice of Paradise!!

  8. From LivingArt website:

    Monday September 15, 2008.

The subdivision application was finished this morning, signed off at 9.00am. Mark is off to the bank to see if he can push them along, as the auction of the Park is scheduled for 3.00pm this afternoon. Down to the wire once again!

    (5.30pm)

An interesting number of machinations today have meant that the Park has not been sold (yet) ... and that the next 24 hours will be interesting. Keep watching this space!

  9. We ahve the same2x45lber's bottles that run our water, heating and hobs, It is cheaper than mains and poweer it all depends on how you use them.

We go through 1 bottle every 6-8 weeks and there are our 2 daughters and hubby and me. Hubby, girls and I shower every night and also cook dinner on the hobs 9x out of 10.

The real drainer is the heating but if your house is warm then it shouldn't be a problem.

We found when we were on mains gas it did cost more than power but it depends on the user.

    HTH!!!

  10. YAY :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Have had them in my thoughts all day and have spent the last 20mins trying to find out if anything happened at auction.

All it takes is for us to put $5-10 dollars into the account to help save the park.

This has touched us all so deeply, everything that Mark has done is for the love of animals. He has been here for so many of us when we needed him most and now he needs us to support him and save his home and the animals.

Please, if you can, put something in the account.

Thoughts and prayers with you and Caroline, Mark.

Hope the chicken tasted better than weetbix!!! :P
