Veryeasy fish to keep but predatory, can be found under rocks above the low tide mark.

- Habitat: All types of habitat round NZ coastline down to 15 metres

- Diet: Basically all meaty food types, partial to crustaceans
- Special Requirements: Will eat anything that fits in its mouth.

- Size: Between 5 and 15 cm.
