Evechinus chloroticus, better known as kina Has a greenish Test or shell with brownish spines.
- Scientific Name: Evechinus chloroticus
- Habitat: This sea urchin is found all around New Zealand in shallow waters around 12–14 metres deep
- Temperament: Peaceful
- Tank Age/Maturity: 100 litres minium at least 6 months old
- Diet: Mainly feeding on Kelp, red algae and Coraline Algaes or any other encrusting substrate.
- Special Requirements: Need supply of Kelp to sustain. Predatory Snails and Starfish can eat them.
