Feed with luncheon under glass or plastic on top of mix.. small pcs at first till learn volume They will come up under glass and feed on food..they are dead clean and in clumps you can just pick up..been doing like this for 30 + years Others feed bread saoked in milk but can go off quicker,,in dec keep in bottom of old fridge ..dont even have to turn on..they dont like heat.. Wok Posted November 6, 2005 Report Share Posted November 6, 2005 Better still.... use a screwdriver and poke some holes into the lid. Keeps most of the light out and allows air for the whiteworms. I put about 10cm of fertiliser and pesticide free potting mix in and fed them bread. The only thing to be careful of with these is water collecting in the bottom. PENEJANE Posted November 9, 2005 Report Share Posted November 9, 2005 Out of curiosity which is better for newborn fry and older fry (guppies) Microworms or white worms? From what I have read micro worms need to be redone every couple of weeks yet white worms just need to be given some food once-twice a week. With White worms do you sit the glass or plastic lid directly on top of the soil/compost? Would perspecs be ok instead of glass? You can get poly boxes of varied sizes from the plastic box from as little as $5. Would one of these be ok? How do I start a culture off? I found an icecream container in a wooden box was ok.
