A Wellington marine centre lost over half of its marine life in a devastating act of vandalism overnight.

Arriving to the centre at Wellington's historic bait shed at about 10am, Island Bay Marine Education Centre discovery programme manager Julian Hodge found the water system had been dosed with chlorinated detergent, poisonous to many of the marine species in the tanks.

This is absolutely disgusting, people like this need to be stopped now before they do further harm. Stuff like this isn't a harmless prank or joke, it's the start of murderous psychopaths.

but you know, it's never their own fault, it's their upbringing, they didn't know better... :an!gry :an!gry

I just hope they beef up their security. Presumably they were not running any carbon filters.

It is hard to imagine the mentality of the people who did this, but looks like all zoos/aquaria etc need better security.

Looks like they broke into the water supply which was outside the building.

PS: An anonymous philanthropist is offering to pay for a security camera system and to fund a guard.

I agree with that as well.... but in this PC world......

a bit of starvation treatment for those that con people out of their money....

public flogging for assault...

public flogging by the local womens shelter for assault on a woman.

covered in cheese spread and left in a cage full of wild rats for animal cruelty

murder = death

mass murder = torture then death

public nuisance = a large alarm clock going off at completely random times constantly... with no snooze button

seriously instead of treating the problem make the lil craps too scared to try that sort of thing....
