If you get something about 50 liters you could try and breed some Boraras brigittae (Mosquito Rasbora) or Sundadanio axelrodi (if you can find some). But remeber, to raise the fry successfully, you'll need a 60-70liter tank (bigger if possible) with good filtration (Eheim Classic canister filters are good, plus they aren't too expensive; otherwise, Aqua One canister filters. Is it possible to have just one fish in a tank that size or would you need two. Because my tank is small I think two would be too much! I had 6 in my 54 litre tank but the 4 biggest have disposed of the 2 smallest (they must have needed munchies during the night). My original 2 I purchased from a forum member as they were scrapping in the 34 litre tank. Not much aggression seen during the day in the bigger tank but obviously night time is a bit different! ryanjury Posted November 14, 2010 Report Share Posted November 14, 2010 You could add a heap of moss and chuck some Celestial pearl danios in there they aren't that unusual but they are a cool little fish and would breed a few babies in a tank that size with a heap of moss.
