Yes you did miss 1.

Out of the neon blue tuxedo have come neon green tuxedo due to the green diamond female used to improve the tail.

Does neon mean full platinum - because the green tuxedo's are.

I'm going to attempt to brake it out of the tuxedo using the albino's I have. Do you think I'm on the right track?

I think the fantail gene may be here too, will find out on the 2 generation.

I suspect many are not fixed strains.

I personally have examples of:-

Snow platinum albino with and with out the albino gold gene

Snakeskin albino

" bar gene blond

German yellow tux

Platinum Neon blue tux

Platinum Neon green tux

Green diamond

Double swordtail

1/2 black

and the genes to create full platinum, super delta/fantail, swallowtail and others but non are fixed and only virgin albino unfix females are available.

Do you want something to work on?

Do you have the spare tanks to do it :o

The work goes on.

Neon does not mean full platinum, I have put the platinum in the Novelty heading because platinum is not a fixed characteristic and can exist in any strain. So you can have Platinum Blue Neon Tuxedo, a Platinum Yellows. Platinum Albino Snow and so on, platinum can only be expressed when tuxedo (or black) genes co-exist.

If the platinum gene is on the X chromosome, you can remove the platinum by using a female without the platinum genes. But if it exist in the Y chromosome, you have no chance of removing it unless you remove the tuxedo instead. Also the tuxedo can exist in both Y and X chromosomes.

BTW your albinos are platinums.

Gee Ceasar, I can see we need to get a good camera, photographic tank and suitable lighting then head to your place for photos of these fish! Would be good to know what they look like so I can figure out what the heck i have floating around in my tanks!

Still on the look out for that purple guppy.....

I have to agree with A-town, still far from being full red, and even further away from being called a fancy guppy. I wouldn't even call them red more a dark orange, but the goal is to some day get it to full red.

:( Lost my breeders to heater failure, have a few fry from breeders and culls from past breedings

i have seen some guppys at a private residence that looked like spear tales. Whether or not they breed true or not I have no idea but they did look interesting.

I'm trying to remember the username as it was somebody on here, his grandfather was breeding them.

Found out that this strain is called Gulfstream.

Who has imported these? or where can I get some from?
These were imported by two different companies and are being sold in LFS in Auckland and Wellington, ask your local LFS to get them.
