Those of you who watched the opening ceremony on TV and haven't seen much of Auckland from the water at night, I wondered did you get the point of the port cranes driving about other than to be taking part or appear to be dancing? It's because you can see their little flashing lights darting about and it looks really cool :thup:

Brought the fish home and he's trying to catch fry through the wall of the bag :rotf: At least he's hungry and active, which a good sign. He is going to live in the garage tank for a while while we get to know each other. He's very pretty indeed

I went out and got 5 more CPDs and a fighter fish. Yes, I finally got one. After not liking them much for so long, they grew on me. :happy2:

I think that everyone who signs up for a sport-holiday knows they have to spend lots because that's just what happens, all the businesses milk it for all it's worth. And if you're on holiday who cares, it's the fun that counts. I doubt people who went to the Olympics or the Commonwealth games thought they'd get cheap deals around those cities.

the only good thing about the world cup for me personally is that I like seeing that the council have made more effort in planted traffic islands and borders etc to make the place look pretty, and we are being sent home early on Friday to try to avoid the traffic. Other than that I'm over it and it hasn't even started. :yaw2: :yaw1: :yaw2: :yaw1:
