  1. One day we will have to visit TGA, just given us another reason Aquadvisor says it's only 57% stocked with 30 WCMM and the effect of large shoals is amazing. Might start off with 10 and try to breed more 8)

Pics of the parents? CT crowntail or CT combtail?
  3. I'm still young, I can read that Typically I'll text like this "Th quick brwn fox jumps ovr th lazi dog" but with a keyboard "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog". It's all a matter of convenience really, I can spell perfectly fine and my grammar is good too. Predictive text bothers me too, Mum likes it though :-?
  4. Who is back? Did you also spend one year in complete silence just to better understand the sound of a whisper?
  5. I know the feeling Really? I just put some of these ideas together and used some things in the garage :-? Thanks none the less
  6. More people seem to be inclined to throw WPG and total wattage out the door but are more concerned about spectrum and intensity. Sounds like you have a good plan though, should work well with most plants. Details on what you'd like to grow?
  7. I'll believe it when I see it Worked awesomely

Third pic maybe, first pic no and second pic unsure.
  9. My tank is a wee bit bigger than that Jen Cool concept though. Just emptied tank of about 25L, off to an appointment so will fill with hose when I get back.

  11. Did you use sand P44? Mine seems to stay in but the sand still gets disturbed and sometimes covers the Glosso
  12. I mean heavy over a long period of time, hard to a 10kg+ pour at 1 liter per minute. That's a good idea ADodge, will try it this afternoon. Nah, let poor Wok be  Thanks for the offer Zev but I'll try some of these other techniques first. On a side note: Water is clear :-? Water changes actually worked for me so I'll keep them up.
  13. I guess I'll have to try all of the above and use the least destructive one. Thinking about an ice cream container with small holes soldered in the side, it will probably still uproot some Glosso though It's a PITA seeing as it's just getting established and growing. If I had a shelf above the tank I could do it easily, but I don't so I have to pour it in with a (heavy) bucket
  14. Sure, so you can patent it and sell it off to some big company and make millions? Good thought. It moves water vertically out the end of the spray bar.
  15. 150w bulb over 2ft cube fully enclosed hood, perhaps a bit out of the back. 240v fan being a household fan? Sorry for the partial threadjack Breakaway
  16. Can it be done? Someone said there wasn't a way to wire a fan into a MH ballast, perhaps they were mistaken? :-?
  17. Thanks ADodge. 33?! That's extreme, we've maxed at around 26 over this way. I've tried bottles, containers, etc but it all overflows and mucks up the sand. If all goes to plan then the water will be sweet as tomorrow. Pity BNs don't actually eat algae
  18. Aside from the slight overkill on the PSU, it's quite a cool little project. I might need to do the same but on a larger scale with MHs. Good job 8)
  19. I don't think poor N1CK needs more fish
  20. I'm after some in Auckland, not as fish food though. No luck so far How big do these guys get?
  21. What makes you think I want to breed em? I think he's just a bit lonely, the fighter he's with is a grumpy old thing. They get on well with other males? I think he's a male.
