This makes me sick.

It's gone now, that went quick :sage:

The power of social media lol

Saw that auction; I assume the same rules that apply to 'glow-fish' apply for these too?

Glow fish are genetically modified and many people tattoo themselves and/or their pets, eg horses. I am not suggesting tattooing fish is a good idea but they are not genetically modified.

Their are a few glow fish that are not Genetically modified just selectivity breed

Pics or it didn't happen.

The term glow fish is used for fish that have been genetically modified, there is no selective bred fish that glows like the ones we are referring to.

I leant that from tanked

I would advise you to do your own research, rather than learn from a reality TV show.

You can learn a lot of something on Tanked

I leant that from tanked

I learnt heaps off tanked too, all to do with how not to keep fish or set up tanks.

What do you mean

I've seen "Tanked" only once but I was horrified with what I saw !!!!

Do they really know what they are doing??

Still don't know what you mean

It means if you're planning an expedition into the jungle, there are better sources of information than watching re-runs of Survivor...

Sorvives just a buch of crappy acters tanked is real life

Sorvives just a buch of crappy acters tanked is real life

With crappy actors.....

Bout it's an actual busness

Survivor is about an actual island.

Yeah but the story is all made up

Yeah but the story is all made up

What story?

Tanked is entertainment TV, please do not use it for educational purposes.

I like to think of Tanked as a measuring stick for fish keepers, I find that serious, knowledgeable hobbyists can't stand it and not so serious, not quite as knowledgeable hobbyists do.

He states that he doesn't want it to be for education (the guy imo does not at all understand the impact he has) - and you make a good point. It is about a business - a business that doesn't care about the welfare of the fish or what they're teaching viewers. Their clients likely believe that large amounts of deaths are normal, and the Tanked business just re-stocks them whenever needed. Their tanks lead to a lot of dead fish - that's a fact.

It doesn't take an expert to see keeping an Axolotl together with Discus as a big red flag.

What story?

Suviver also :phb:

Suviver also :phb:

Survivor also, what? :dunno:
