Cory's hiding

Featured Replies

I only have the 3 cory's in the 10 gallon, eventually they'll be put in another tank. Anyway, the minute I go near the tank they take off and hide. Are all cory's this way, or could it be because there are only 3 of them?

No and maybe :P

Some are bolder than others. Depends on how much plant is in the tank as the more safe they feel the more they will stay in the open when you appear.

did you get them recently? I found that mine were real scardy cats but now they only kinda swim away from me so if you got them recenly i'd wait a while and get some more 8)

Caryl, just a couple of artificial plants and cave type things.

Firefish, no I've had them for quite awhile. I just haven't decided which tank to put them in although I'll probably put them in with the barbs and red eye tetras.

Curviceps, that's what I'll probably do get 3 more.

Thanks all :bow::bow:

i have 2 bronze corys that have started to do the same. They started after i removed there eggs from there tank to the hatchery. The babie corys are now big enough to fend for emself in the community tank so the baby corys are back in the tank with mum and dad. since the kids have been put back they have got there personality back and are coming into the open again.

i think you will see more activity out of them if you add more corys.
