    • Features: Perennial species with green stems ca 2m tall. Stems are thick (5 to 15mm) wide, ribbed and unbranched or with few branches at some nodess. Leaf sheaths are 10 to 15mm long and wide, mostly with 2 dark bands (top and bottom) with numerous deciduous teeth. Spore bearing spikes are ovoid (10 to 30 mm long) with an arbuptly pointed tip.
